The Year of the University Press Events and Projects

The Associations of Research Libraries and American University Presses plan to mark 2004 by celebrating the work of university presses on a national and local level. The most important activities throughout the year will be those that originate on individual campuses: exhibits, lecture series, and cooperative projects that bring together libraries and presses.

Presses and libraries working together have developed rich scholarly and community resources, which we highlight here. ARL and AAUP will encourage the development of more such projects, and work to promote them through the year of the University Press web site and media campaign.
