In order to extend the advantages of AAUP participation to the broadest
possible range of scholarly publishers, there are four classes of membership:
full, affiliate, associate, and international. The various categories,
detailed below, allow the very small university press, the overseas press,
and the not-for-profit publishing wings of scholarly associations and
institutions to enjoy many of the benefits available to traditional university
presses. Members must be not-for-profit, and all members are expected
to maintain a high standard of scholarship and integrity in the materials
they publish. Not an eligible press? Become an AAUP Partner! For more detailed information and membership applications please e-mail Susan Patton or send inquiries to: Susan Patton, Membership Manager, 71 West 23rd St., Suite 901, New York, NY 10010. |
