Sheraton New OrleansA large block of rooms has been set aside at the Sheraton New Orleans. This is the site for all meeting sessions, exhibits, group meals and pre-meeting workshops. AAUP’s group rate is $164 for a single or double room. There is $3.00 per night occupancy tax and a room tax of 13%. The reservation date for booking with the group block has passed, but late registrants may still be able to book rooms at the Sheraton at the group rate: • For online reservations, a special Starwood Web site has been set-up for AAUP registrants. Click on “Book Now” • For telephone reservations, call (504) 525-2500 and identify yourself as being with the Association of American University Presses meeting. If not, registrants should still be able to reserve a room at the Sheraton through their general Web site. There are plenty of nearby hotels with good rates. You can use the hotel locater through the New Orleans CVB and do a search.
