2008 Exhibit Information

 

What is it?

The AAUP Annual Meeting and Exhibits offers an opportunity to meet decision-makers from all of the major university presses and a number of other scholarly publishers. If you offer products and services of interest to scholarly publishers, you should plan to attend. Meeting registrants are primarily staff from AAUP’s 128 member presses. AAUP annual meetings typically attract between 500 and 600 registrants.

Who exhibits at the AAUP Meeting?

AAUP Exhibitors offer a range of services that include: printing, typesetting, paper supply, copyright licensing, mailing list research, database and publishing software solutions, and more.

Where is the 2008 Annual Meeting?

In 2008, the AAUP Annual Meeting and Exhibits will be held in Montréal.

What are the fees?

The table fee will be $1250. The fee includes one six-foot draped table, a black and white sign, and a chair. There will be an additional charge from the hotel for any electrical, audiovisual, internet, or storage needs. Exhibits are strictly table-top; no large displays or booths will be allowed. There is a limit of one table per company. Your table fee includes registration for 2 representatives. Exhibitor representatives are entitled to attend annual meeting sessions and receptions, however, there is an additional fee for representatives who wish to attend group meals. If a company would like to send more than two representatives, additional company reps will be required to pay the full meeting registration fee.

What are the hours?

Friday, June 27             8:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m., Set-up

Friday, June 27             10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 – 6:00 p.m., Exhibits Open

Saturday, June 28        10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 – 4:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 28        4:00 – 5:00 p.m., Tear-down

How do I reserve a table?

Exhibit tables will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be a limit of 40 tables. Fax a copy of your signed exhibitor contract to 212-989-0275 to reserve your space. Click here to download an exhibitor contract.

How do I ship materials to Canada?

AAUP will make arrangement with a Customs Broker to help exhibitors get their shipments through Canadian customs.
