Note on Catalog Design: Colored and annotated Post-It Notes are an integral
part of the show judges'
method of tracking entries and marking covers and spreads for reproduction in
the final catalog. When
catalog designer Annie Shahan (University of Nebraska Press) was putting the
catalog together, she found
herself with a growing pile of these Post-Its. She decided to incorporate this
traditional element of the Book,
Jacket, and Journal Show process into the final image for the 2002-2003 show.
